Once upon a time the U.S. militray had small communications and LORAN locating station up on the northwest coast of Spain, in the region of Galicia. It was up and running from 1961 until 1991, when the Americans abandoned it. It has since suffered from the effects of coastyal weathering and neglect. Few people know about it in Spain.
