Show Notes

In the fall of 1937, smack in the middle of the Spanish Civil War, a grim and dastardly crime was committed against Franco sympathizers who were trying to flee persecution from the left-wing factions. They were led into thinking that there was a tunnel in the neighborhood of Usera that took them safely to the other side. But no tunnel existed. The only thing that awaited them was a trap by members of a secret police force. They robbed, tortured and murdered them. Listen to more about this heinous war crime.
